Description
Fully Guided 4-Day Archery Hunt
Early August
The Morris Ranch is located near Ft. Sumner NM and the JY Ranch is located about 1 hour south of Ft Sumner. Both ranches are located in great areas for trophy goats. We get 3 tags on Morris Ranch and 6 on JY Ranch. Ranches are about 10,000 acres each and both hold lots of goats. Its not uncommon to see several bucks a day. Most goats average in mid 70's but the area has potential for 80+. The hunts takes place during first last 2 weeks of August. Again what you see in our pricing is what you pay no other hidden costs, they include landowner voucher, license fees, and taxes. For those wanting to hunt the JY Ranch we will also put you in the draw, and if you draw that unit for a tag, it would open up another 10,000 acres of blm that surround ranch.

New Mexico Draw
If you are planning a hunt in New Mexico, most likely you will be putting in the draw at some point with us. The draw opens up in January with a deadline sometime in March. There are 3 draw pools, residents, non-residents and outfitter pool. Basically, for the best chance to draw a tag you definitely want to put in the outfitter pool. To do this you must contact me to get my outfitter number to use when applying. Note it is law that I must do a contract with each hunter before they can put in under my outfit. My draw contracts will state the hunt choices to put in for (you get up to 3) and type of package you want if you draw. If putting in for multiple animals we must do one for each species.
Note that when applying in draw for any species you will be required to provide a credit card as Game and Fish will charge for full license which will be refunded minus a $13.00 application fee. Also, to be noted as of 2019 you must purchase a $65.00 general license and $5.00 habitat stamp before you can apply.
New Mexico License: Pronghorn Antelope*
All hunters must possess a valid license, and permit if applicable, for the species and hunt type in which they will participate and must produce this upon request by a conservation officer. All big-game and turkey hunters must possess a Game-hunting License, tag(s) for each species hunted, and a Habitat Stamp.
Habitat Stamp: $10
Resident (+$7 application fee)
- All: $65
Nonresident (+$13 application fee)
- All: $178
*Note: License fees may vary based on type of land (private/public), type of license, or changes to state legislation. The fees listed above are updated as of this listing’s publication. For the most accurate information, visit the New Mexico Game & Fish website.
Please note, there is a 50% nonrefundable deposit included with your payment at booking.
