Description
The Hunt
2-Day/3-Night, 3-Day/4-Night, or 4-Day/5-Night Unguided Pheasant Hunting
Over 3,000 acres of privately owned hunting ground, Ring-necked pheasants abound in their natural habitat, allowing us to provide a high-quality authentic hunt.
Along with pheasants, you have the opportunity to hunt additional natural habitats, including but not limited to grouse, dove, turkey, and partridge. A hunting license can also be obtained for larger game including deer, coyotes, and prairie dogs.
An unguided hunt with us includes lodging/housing accommodating up to 15 guests, a bird cleaning/processing station, dog kennels, and access to/storage of ATVs. Our family is dedicated to providing the best hunting experience possible, and is willing to work with each group to ensure your expectations are met.
Facts About the Hunt
West River Pheasant Hunting Season begins the third Saturday in October and remains open until January 31st.
South Dakota Pheasant Hunting begins at 9:00 A.M. Mountain Time until sunset.
The hunt is unguided. Therefore, hunters will be given a “huntable” map which allows private access to the hunters. You are allowed and encouraged to bring your own hunting dogs, as this can require a large amount of walking. Kennels can be found on the premises, but animals are NOT allowed indoors.
We highly recommend the use of 12-gauge shotguns.
3 bird limit per day/per hunter. Maximum possession of 15 birds per hunter after the 5th day of hunting.
Dress for unpredictable weather conditions, as South Dakota is known for its unpredictable weather.
