"Tom and his crew helped me and my son Ty on my son’s first archery elk hunt in 2013. We did a hunt into the Gila wilderness and it could not have been better. Tom has good stock animals; he’s honest, hard-working, and knows the wilderness. I would highly recommend Tom to anyone wanting a wilderness experience. I can’t wait to do this again!" - Jeff T.

ITEMS TO BRING

While we provide basic amenities for our guests, there are items that we highly recommend you to bring to ensure your comfort in the great outdoors. Our guests are encouraged to pack light with items that are packable and/or collapsible. You may pack in soft duffel type bags; nothing over 36".

Sleeping bags and personal gear are not provided. Please review our list below for recommended items to bring.

* Guests 21 years and older are welcomed to bring along alcoholic beverages

The NM Game Dept. is cutting rifle elk tags in our wilderness unit due to reduced harvest levels of the past three years so it will make it harder to draw rifle tags, but archery tags remain the same.

We encourage and highly recommend our clients to be in the best shape possible and be prepared to put many miles on horseback in some really tough country. We put you on good gentle mountain horses and are guided by our professional and competent guides.

This is our 36 th anniversary of guiding hunters as San Francisco River Outfitters mostly in the Gila Wilderness. Our many years of experience gives our hunters an advantage over our competitors. Over the years we have done our very best to keep our prices as low as possible and provide outstanding value to every one of our hunters. Unfortunately, we are facing unprecedented inflation impacting every angle of our expenses and we have had to increase our prices. We are very reluctant to do so but we hope you understand that as a small, family-owned business this is necessary for us to continue operating and sharing our world-class wilderness trophy hunts with sportsmen from all over the country and world.
