Description
This South Texas ranch is located in Uvalde and offers a quintessential experience in the heart of the Hill Country’s transition zone, where rolling terrain, lush vegetation, and abundant wildlife create an ideal environment for Rio Grande turkey hunting. Here's what you can expect:
The Landscape
Uvalde, located on the edge of the Hill Country and Brush Country, is renowned for its diverse habitat. Our ranch features gently rolling hills, live oak savannahs, mesquite thickets, and clear streams which provides excellent roosting, feeding, and nesting grounds for wild turkeys. The warm, mild climate in the spring is ideal for hunting, and the picturesque landscapes make for an unforgettable adventure.
The Birds
The Rio Grande turkey thrives in Uvalde’s ecosystem. Known for their striking bronze-and-copper plumage, these birds are plentiful and can often be seen foraging in open pastures or strutting along creek beds. Gobblers in this area respond well to calls, making them an exciting target for hunters.
The Hunt
Hunters will have 3 full days of chasing these legendary birds, and every hunt is 100% opportunity.
