Description
Prairie Dog Hunting in the South Dakota Badlands
We provide access to some of the absolute best semi-guided prairie dog hunting in South Dakota. We have access to numerous prairie dog towns across the Pine Ridge Reservation. Avid prairie dog hunters will not be disappointed in this hunt and are sure to leave with a smile on their faces.
All of our prairie dog hunts are semi-guided. We will provide you with shooting mats or tables to make your South Dakota hunting experience more comfortable. We will set up on the edge of a prairie dog town or up on a hill and you will be able to shoot for hours.
Most hunters will shoot between 200 and 300 rounds per day. If the prairie dogs get scarce, we will just move to a better spot or another town.
With so much land available to us, we will put you in the prime areas throughout the prairie dog season. You will get plenty of close shooting, but this hunt is also great for those hunters that like to test their range. With wide open spaces and plenty of prairie dog towns, this is the perfect trip for groups or families who want to shoot all day.
There is quite a bit of demand for this hunt and the best time of year for shooting is May through August.
PLEASE BE AWARE THAT ALOT OF THESE DOG TOWNS ARE ON TWO TRACK ROADS THAT REQUIRE 4X4. (ATV’s and Side by Sides are welcome, but per Tribal Regulations, Rifles must be cased when vehicles are in motion.)
“We had a blast on the prairie dog hunts. Lost count of how many we shot over Thanksgiving!” - Maddux W
