Maine is lucky enough to be one of the few states to have an abundant moose population. Maine state biologists estimate the Maine moose population to be around 75,000. This is the largest concentration of moose in the country besides Alaska. No wonder Maine is now one of the top moose-hunting destinations in the United States. A mature bull moose can weigh in around 1,000 pounds or more, and their antlers can span an average of 6’.
We are fortunate to be located on the edge of Zones 6 & 3 in Aroostook County, some of the highest populated moose areas in the State of Maine.

- You are eligible to apply for the Maine Moose Lotter if:
- You are eligible to obtain a Maine Big Game Hunting License, or will be eligible to obtain a Maine Big Game Hunting License by the opening day of the Maine Moose Hunting Season
- No person may submit more than one application, Any person submitting more than one application will be disqualified.
Moose Hunt What's Included:
- Professional guide knowledgeable of your zone and moose behavior.
- First Class Accommodations from Sunday to Sunday

Lodge
The lodge is located 13 miles from Caribou, Maine - in a small town called Perham. We are nestled on the edge of the North Maine woods and look forward to habing one of our Registered Maine Guides take you on your next hunting adventure!
Base price is per hunter for 5-Day COW hunt with 6 nights of lodging. Make it a Bull Moose Hunt for an additional fee. Non-hunting guests or Non-hunting observers as well as round-trip airport pickup from Presque Isle Airport may be added for an additional fee. Tax is not included and will be calculated upon arrival.

Rules & Guidelines
- NO smoking in the facility. Only in designated areas.
- No smoking at bear sites.
- Do Not leave pee bottles on any hunting site.
- NO drug use.
- DO not miss treat the staff (swearing at them, bulling them, etc.)
- No shooting on site with out the guide.
- Any wounded animal will be considered a dead animal for the purpose of fulling your license for that species. NO EXCEPTIONS. First blood is the Rustic Retreat Lodge LLC’s policy.
- No alcoholic beverages before you go out to hunt.
