The Louisiana Lodge

Our Louisiana location can accommodate 10 hunters at a time. It is pier and beam and set on the banks of Larto Lake, a known crappie and bass fishing hotspot. The lodge has a private covered dock with several boat slips as well. Just use the private launch and have your boat to fish on the almost 8,000 acres of sloughs and backwater of the Saline/Larto complex. If the boat is too much trouble for you then just wait till after that nap to grab jigs and a pole and head to the dock where we have sunken beds and bait buckets to keep the fishing steady right off the dock. After dark, the lights kick on and the carp and gar show up just in time to start shooting with the available bow rigs. Dinner is always a plate full. From shrimp etouffee with fried fish on the side to smoked duck and sausage gumbo, you will not go to bed hungry. From waterfront views of Larto Lake, afternoon complimentary fishing, and amazing food, the Lodge on Larto is a one-of-a-kind place to stay and hunt.

*Special menu items can be added by request. Possible upcharges will apply.

**Lodging can be booked for private groups at a discount.

Base price is per single-day hunt per person per day. Make it a 3-Day all-inclusive hunt for an additional fee per hunter per day.

FAQ’s

  1. Where is the Nearest Airport? - The closest airport is ADZ in Alexandria, but Lafayette & Shreveport are options as well. Airport pickup IS included in our all-inclusive package.

  2. Can I Bring My Own Dog? - We do not recommend bringing dongs on this hunt. Hunting here is different, the decoy spread could be over 1000 decoys, the boat ride can be tough depending on the wind.

  3. Is Lodging Provided? - Lodging is provided for All-Inclusive hunt packages. Lodging will include a full time cook and maid for the duration of your stay.

  4. How Many People Can Sleep In the Lodge? - We prefer to lodge a maximum of 10 people at a time to ensure comfortability for all. To ensure the best hunting success, groups are split and we run 4 groups a day unless we believe the spot we plan on hunting is worth combining everyone.

  5. What are the Requirements for Having a Private Group Hunt? - To have private access, call for more information on renting out the entire lodge!

  6. When do Morning Hunts End? - When limits are reached for all paying full price hunters the hunt is over. if the youth is killing a limit, they must pay full price.

  7. Where Should I Stay for a Single-Day Drive-Up Hunt? - There are several nice hotels for the clients to book for their stay. Just contact us for recommendations!
