Rifle Whitetail Hunt on 232 Acres

Hunting:

Hunt 232 acres of woods, water, and rolling pasture in Jefferson County Illinois. Only one group can stay in the lodge and a max of 3 hunters are allowed on the property at a time. When you rent the lodge for a nightly fee, it entitles you to pay a small fee to hunt. All hunts are partially guided.

Location:

This property is located in Southern Illinois in the center of the United States. Easy access within 1.5 hours East of St. Louis, Missouri Airport (Lambert Field) and approximately 4.5 hours South of the Chicago Illinois Airport (O’Hare or Midway). The property is surrounded by woods and water. The 1/2 mile driveway brings you back to this secluded retreat with a 15-acre lake in the front yard.

The Lodge:

The two-story lodge is 4,000 square feet. The main level provides a large kitchen and dining room with a large dining table that can accommodate up to 14 if needed. With additional seating at the kitchen bar and smaller dining room table in the kitchen area that can seat another 7. The family room is very large with a 60” flat-screen 3D tv.

The great room includes a dartboard and air hockey table as well as an indoor pool/spa! This endless pool provides approximately 93 degrees heated water temp and the ability to set it for endless swimming against the current or relax in the seated area with jacuzzi bubbles. The pool is great for kids and can be securely and safely closed when not in use. The pool has multiple depth levels, 20”, 32”, 40”, and 48”. We have been told that the pool is much larger than what the pictures portray. We have had up to 14 kids in at one time comfortably!

The main floor includes 2 private bedrooms and a large master bedroom with 15 feet of glass overlooking the west lake.

The second floor is an open concept with three semi-private beds/bedrooms that sleeps 9 or more with a large full bathroom with both a corner shower and a claw-foot slipper bathtub.

There is a day bed with trundle in the great room as well as one queen air mattress and two twins. Air mattresses are 30” off the floor with baffles and a built-in air compressor. Total provided sleeping on beds for 15 people, +4 additional people on provided air mattresses for a total of 19.

Lake:

The 20-acre lake is 28 feet deep and holds primarily bluegill and largemouth bass providing a fun catch and release fishing experience. Staying at the lodge reserves the use of all of the boats including the 20-foot pontoon with a bimini top, 24V trolling motor, and outfitted with an onboard picnic table with four swivel seats.

History:

This Lodge was built by Senator Bill O’Daniel it is built out of trusses from the Evansville Indiana freight railroad station and are approximately 143 years old. Built by Senator Bill O’Daniel.

Base price is per night per person for 2 people. Additional people are an additional fee per person per night with a hunting fee per person for all hunting guests. Max 19.
