HUNT HAWAII

We offer a conservation hunt for the Axis deer and goats. The hunt is 3 days long we target bucks, does and goats to hunt as many as possible.

In Hawaii we offer unlimited conservation hunts for Axis deer and goats, deep sea fishing, spear fishing and Eco-tours all on the island of Molokai.

We also offer trophy hunts only to target big mature trophy Axis deer, these deer are going to have antlers 30” or bigger.

Axis Deer

The Axis deer were brought to the Hawaiian Islands from India in late 1867 as a gift to King Kamehameha V and released on Molokai in 1868.

Axis deer have no natural predators thus have quickly multiplied. This dramatic increase in their population affected the natural areas and agricultural lands of the locals. According to scientists, axis deer are causing serious damage to landscapes and therefore, the government decided to abandon the further release of deer in Hawaii.

Due to their abundant population, the deer used to eat Hawaii’s native ebony tree, the lama, native olive tree and mint grown on the island of Molokai. This resulted in the extinction of these vegetations and transformed a rich native forest into a desert-like landscape.

Base Price is for 3 Day hunt. Trophy Axis and Lodging can be added for additional fee.
