Guided Drift Boat / Pontoon Trip on Coastal Riverways
Clackamas, OR
1-3 Guests
Description
Drifting Oregon’s coastal rivers for steelhead and chinook put anglers in some the most unique and beautiful places in the state. Secluded river canyons deep in the forest are the norm for drifting trips. Often there will be very few or no other anglers around in these pristine mountain streams.
Customers will be fishing from an 18’ Clackacraft Clackamax Drift Boat outfitted with the coolest new toys on the market (3 angler max in drift boat*).
If the pontoon boat is the best option, customers will be in for a real treat! They’ll be fishing as far off the grid as it gets in the comfort of a 14’ Catchercraft frame on Maxxon Pontoons. Expect steelhead fishing like you’ve never seen when the pontoon boat comes out! (2 Max in Pontoon Boat)
Typically, Bobberdogging small baits and beads, jigs, pink worms and rags will be the main weapons for targeting steelhead, using Lamiglas SI spinning rods and Okuma Reels.
Backbouncing eggs/shimp combos and backtrolling Kwikfish are the go to methods when targeting chinook and coho from the drift boat. Occasionally bobber fishing and twitching jigs is deadly as well.
Book now year-round for destinations including fishing trips in Astoria, Tillamook, at Buoy 10, or inland river fishing on the Columbia, Willamette, Multnomah Channel, Wilson, Trask, Nehalem, Nestucca or Kilchis.
