3-Day Minimum | Up to 23 Guests
A perfectly preserved piece of land and its original structures, boasting timelessness and tradition, Otyokwa is a destination for those seeking respite from a busier world. The perfect home base for your Maine summer outdoor adventure, located in the heart of MidCoast near extensive hiking trails and nature preserves, Audubon preserves, freshwater lakes and coastal ocean bays.
An adventurers’ playground - great for self-guided hunting or fishing groups, family gatherings and reunions, or intimate retreats. The forty-acre property features 2100 feet of lakefront, walking trails, and undisturbed nature.
This camp is a lovingly preserved boys camp from the 1930s, featuring 5 sleeping cabins, a mess hall, bathhouse, and kitchen cabin. Enjoy lake breezes while sitting around the fire pit, swimming in the sandy shallows, or paddling around Lake Pemaquid in one of our complimentary canoes. We can accommodate up to 23 guests in the lakeside cabins, our 4-bedroom farmhouse and houseboat accommodations in an all-encompassing premier Maine wilderness experience.
The Entire Private Lake-Side Area Includes:
- 5 Sleeping Cabins
- Kitchen Cabin
- Bathhouse
- Rec Hall
- On-Site Parking
- Private Beach
- Lakeside Amenities - BBQ grill, picnic tables, firepit, outdoor seating
Dog Friendly!
Available seasonally May thru October.
Featured on our lakefront, two houseboats are included with your reservation. Nomad (sleeps 4) and Roam (sleeps 2) can remain at the dock as a floating accommodation or moored just offshore for a more waterborne experience.
Along the path from the lake is a large Mess Hall, the recreation center of the camp. A great rainy-day hideaway for kids and adults alike, inside you'll find games, ping-pong, and a record player for music fans.
A few minutes walk up the meadow from the Mess Hall, at the entrance to the property, is the four-bedroom, one-bath Farmhouse. From here guests overlook the sloping meadow that stretches toward the lake and sweeping sunset views.
At Otyokwa, you can enjoy kayaking, paddle-boarding, and fishing, or discover nearby islands and adjoining lakes on this large, ten-mile body of water. Walk the lakeside trails and picnic at the point, a secluded beach area with 300-degree views of the water.
We are located 15 minutes from the town of Damariscotta, with its many restaurants, shops, and theater; though the camp feels secluded, it is still quite close to conveniences. As the ocean is a mere 2 miles away from the camp, you and your group can take advantage of local charters and enjoy the amazing sights of Muscongus Bay on saltwater excursions, and experience a true working waterfront in Bremen. World-class seafood and oyster farms in Damariscotta and the rest of the spectacular Pemaquid Peninsula make for incredible day trips. The multitude of nearby trails and natural features showcase Maine’s natural glory.
Available Activities Include:
- Fishing (large and smallmouth bass, trout, perch, pickerel)
- Hunting (40+ acres privately owned property abutting undeveloped land)
