Description

A UNIQUE EXPERIENCE

The spring walleye run in the Detroit River brings millions of hungry walleye into the river. Considered by most to be the best walleye fishery in the world, it is truly an amazing experience. From where the Detroit River flows out of Lake St Clair and into Lake Erie, there are countless places that hold large numbers of walleye. Come take a trip on the river with us, and check out the city from the side most people never see. Listen to rooster pheasants cackle on the shore line and see all types of waterfowl migrating north. But most of all- catch fish. Usually, there is no need to close the live well because the fishing is fast and furious.

CAN TAILOR YOUR TRIP FOR YOU

The river offers different fishing during different times of the year. As soon as the ice leaves the river the boat goes in the water. For those who want to brave the weather, the month of March offers an opportunity to catch world class walleye, often exceeding 10 pounds. As the weather gets warmer during the month of April, the action really picks up with the smaller "eater size" walleyes. During the peak of the season, we can boat hundreds of fish. From Ma into June, we will transition from jigging to trolling crawler harnesses. At this time, we also encounter the silver bass run- for those who desire non-stop action, we could easily catch hundreds of fish per person. This is a perfect time to bring kids as the weather is beautiful and the day is action packed to keep the little ones entertained. We can comfortably jig 5 adults or a family of 6, and are happy to make accommodations.
