Description
We Aim to Give you the Best Cape Buffalo Experience in South Africa
Of all of the game animals in Africa, none seem to capture the attention of the big game hunter quite like the Cape Buffalo. The Cape buffalo offers some of the most exciting and interesting big game hunting in all of South Africa.
We have some exclusive and discounted Limpopo safari hunting packages available and waiting for you.
The Cape Buffalo is considered by some to be the most dangerous of all of the Big Five. While he seems docile enough when viewed undisturbed in the herd, when agitated or wounded this bovine can be extremely aggressive, vindictive, and cunning. Found all over southern Africa in herds of various sizes, the buffalo can weigh up to 1800 pounds.
He is primarily a grazer but an occasional browser who must drink daily. They favor the thick bushveld during the, leisurely moving and grazing as they go.
At night they tend to herd up to protect the young from their archenemy, the lion.

We Build a Real Experience in South Africa
My mission is to provide you with the best possible adventure safari in Limpopo. My goal is to ensure that every client visiting has an amazing experience and sees us as family.
I personally guide on all Safaris, We only take one group at a time, so if you book a group of clients, they will be the only ones in camp. They will not share the camp with another group. We are close to the Limpopo River (the border between South Africa, Botswana, and Zimbabwe). We are in the heart of the Limpopo Valley and one of the most wildlife-rich areas in Africa.
O.R. Tambo International Airport (JNB) in Johannesburg is approximately a 6-hour drive to our lodge. We suggest you take a connecting flight from Johannesburg to O.R Airport Polokwane (PTG) International Airport via South African Airlines which is a 1-hour 30-minute drive to the nearby town of Musina and our lodge.

Cape Buffalo Facts
Buffalo have a lifespan of roughly 23 years; they are ranked in their herds by their fighting capabilities. Buffalo will often have head-on clashes to determine rank in the herd.
The hide on the buffalo’s neck can be as thick as inches to protect it during battles with other male bulls for dominance.
Dominant individuals will feed ahead of the rest of the herd or in the middle and gets the best nutrient-rich grass and best access to females in oestrus. Buffalo are subsequently led by “pathfinders” (not necessarily dominant animals). Pathfinders act as herd leaders and determine where the herd will move.
As buffalo get older and their reproduction peaks pass, males will often be chased from the larger herds and are often found in small groups or on their own. These animals then get the nickname Dagha boys. Dagha is the Zulu name for mud and refers to the buffalo spending much of their past time in mud wallows.
Cape Buffalo Diet - Buffalo eat predominantly grass species, and because of the large groups and size, they need grass that quickly regenerates itself. They will even eat swamp or marshy materials. Buffalo are gregarious and will change their eating habits to their surrounding circumstances.
Cape Buffalo Big 5 - Buffalos are part of the African Big 5. (Elephants, Leopards, Lions, and Rhinos). The reason for any animal being part of the African Big 5 is due to its difficulty and aggressiveness while being hunted.
Black Death A Name Hunters Will Understand - The African buffalo made its way onto the Big 5 ranking because of their size, moody behavior and their ability to charge with no warning, the African Buffalo has been said to be one of the most dangerous animals to hunt on foot. It can be easy to see why, as this enormous bovid weighs in at 800 kg for a male and 750 kg for a female.
