Bird hunting & Copper Canyon Deluxe Train Tour Combo
8-Nights/9-Days | 2 Full Days of Bird Hunting
Enjoy Great Bird Hunting at Sinolopato Duck & Dove Club. On an average day a duck hunt can produce more ducks than you would bag all season in the States. Among them are Black-Bellied, Whistling Ducks, Red Heads, Cinnamon, Green-Winged and Blue-Winged Teal, Gadwalls, Canvasbacks, Ruddy Ducks, Mottled Ducks, Widgeons, Pin Tails, Shovelers, Pacific Black Brant, Scaup, Mexican Mallards, Blue Bills. Mourning Dove and White Wing Dove come in large flights and feed on crops and get water from multiple ponds.
The train ride is described by Reader's Digest Magazine as “The most spectacular train ride in the world." Also, National Geographic Magazine refers to this train excursion as an engineering marvel. Aboard the “Chepe” Deluxe Train you will travel through Copper Canyon, truly one of the most charming regions of México. You will discover centuries-old missions, mining towns, unusual rock formations, multiple valleys and waterfalls, the homeland of the Tarahumara Indians. The train ride took over 100 years to complete its construction. You will travel from sea level to nearly 8,000 ft. altitude, going through 86 tunnels and crossing 37 bridges.

"Tommy,
I thought I would take the time to express my gratitude for allowing my family and friends to share your wonderful facilities at Lake Aguamilpa.
To some folks fishing is about competition. And while there is a time and place for that. To me fishing is about family. The joy on your child's face when they catch their first fish is priceless. Fishing is about teaching. There is no better place to teach someone to fish than Aguamilpa. I've had the pleasure to teach my Mom (her first cast in Mexico water was 5 lbs), My daughter who loved catching over 50 bass a day, and my Father who after all this years decided it was time to take up fishing. Our most recent trip was with our 8 year old son. He was able to catch 11 fish in 2 hours with one over 4lbs. On our recent trip to Baccarac in February my wife and I were able to catch 687 fish with 44 fish over 7 lbs and 6 over 9 lbs. Your guides are top notch and diffidently work very hard to make sure you catch as many fish as possible. With the numerous trips to your lodges we are greeted with hugs and feel right at home.
Again thank you for your attention to detail and providing access to such wonderful and beautiful places to allow me to bring the joys of fishing to friends and family." - Todd H.
I recently returned from an incredible bass fishing experience at Lake Aguamilpa. From the second we arrived at the lodge to the time we departed the overall quality was nothing less than great. The owner Mario, and the attentive staff never missed a beat in providing us with great food and excellent accommodations! Two of us caught over 400 large mouth bass in three action-packed days. Our guided Javier knew the lake and put us on fish immediately. This was my first trip to Lake Aguamilpa but certainly won't be the last. Thanks again to Mario and his staff for making this an incredibly memorable bass fishing trip!!" - Ernie D

Tipping Policy
A tip (called a "propina" in Spanish) is the best way to show appreciation for good service. Tipping is customary in Mexico and is expected in many situations, though you generally will not get any flak if you neglect to give a tip.
More often than not you will be better off leaving a "collective" gratuity for your entire stay with the LODGE MANAGER AT THE END OF YOUR TRIP than you will tipping service staff and guides individually. The reason for this are not readily apparently, but the include the fact that overtipping to individuals makes it more difficult for the lodge manager to control the expectations (and behavior) of the staff.
At some lodges, guides who have been tipped excessively muscle out.
Safety In Mexico
All of our bass fishing anglers and hunters are picked up at the airport when they arrive and taken directly to the lodge. After their fishing trip is completed, they are returned to the airport. Our lodge owner or his driver stays with them until they are on the plane when leaving.
- Is it safe to travel to Mexico? - Don't let news stories deter you from traveling to this vibrant Latin American destination. Mexico is a safe country. In general, if you're not taking part in illegal activities or going to the wrong parts of town, you don't have anything to worry about.
- Mexico is safer than many cities in the US - MORE THAN 150,000 AMERICANS SAFELY VISIT Mexico EVERY DAY. Mexico is safer than many major U.S. cities. Travelers feel relatively safe visiting popular U.S. cities like Miami, Philadelphia, Houston, Dallas, Chicago, New Orleans, Washington D.C, or Atlanta. Visitors from around the world enjoy these vibrant cities in relative, reasonable safety. Yet each of these cities is statistically less safe than Mexico.
- Media Favoritism versus Facts - New Orleans is often showcased in the news. The FBI reports the murder rate of New Orleans is declining; but it is nearly 4 times higher than all of Mexico and over 5 times higher than Mexico City. New Orleans is still an amazing place to visit and the media is right to encourage tourists to visit this inspirational city. But Mexico is at least as remarkable and there is a clear difference in how each of these compared destinations is portrayed in contemporary news.
