Description
Morning Specklebelly Goose Hunt
We offer both morning and afternoon speckle-belly goose hunts. These hunts take place in flooded and dry agricultural fields in layout blinds, pit blinds, A-frame blinds, or wearing white suits. How we hunt specklebelly varies with the weather conditions and how the migration is at that point in the season.
For a typical morning hunt, the guide will give information on the hunting setup and conditions the evening before the goose hunt. The group hunting will either leave from our lodge following the guide to the field or be given a location to meet on the morning of the hunt. Following arrival to the field, the guide will give everyone information on what will be going on for the morning hunt and the setup. We recommend using a 12 gauge shotgun with BBS or T shot.
- Fresh Feed Fields
- Comfortable Blind Setup
- Massive Wads of Geese
Specklebelly geese are not only one of the most amazing geese to watch decoy, but they are also the most vocal waterfowl to call to and to listen to calling back. Over the past several years the Specklebelly population and hunting here in Stuttgart has become very popular. They are also considered to be the ribeye in the sky based on how good these birds taste. Give us an opportunity to see it for yourself. Last season was a success with just shy of 2800 Specklebelly geese harvested.
Must have at least 6 hunters for a private group. Private groups are welcome to bring their dogs. Groups of less than 5 are not allowed to bring a dog.
Pricing is per person per day. Lodging is available for an additional fee per night for up to 6 guests. Each additional guest after 6 is an additional fee per additional guest per night. Required tax is included and a lodge cleaning fee is required per stay.
