During the hunts at Maynard Lake, hunters are the only guests in camp. Your hunting success is very important to us and we will do all we can to ensure that success. You will experience an exciting but relaxing week hunt. We will prepare, transport and arrange mounting of your trophy, as you wish. Our taxidermist is one of the best!
Hunters are welcome to fish or hunt grouse during off hunting hours or if they kill out early, as many do. Whatever they choose to do, it is a tremendous experience that many want to have again and again.

Ontario Hunting License
To hunt in Ontario, you must:
- be at least 16 years old (or 15 with written parental consent)
- have successfully taken the Ontario Hunter Education Program (or an Ontario-recognized equivalent accrediation)
- follow all federal firearm regulations and carry appropriate documentation with you if you are hunting with a gun
- have a valid hunting version Outdoors Card
- have the required hunting licences(s) and tag(s) for the game you wish to hunt
- non-residents hunting black bear must obtain, complete and carry a black bear validation certificate. You can obtain a certificate from a MNRF district office or through a tourist operator.

- Outdoors Card: $8.57
- 1-Year Small Game License: $22.76
- Black Bear License & Tag: $43.86
Nonresident (amounts in USD)
- Outdoors Card: $6.88
- 1-Year Small Game License: $93.48
