Description

7-Day All-Inclusive DIY Caribou & Fully Guided Fishing and Waterfowl Combo Hunt

This is the best hunting on the remotest spot in Alaska. It is the same price if you want to target only one species or everything that is in season. This includes Caribou, Ptarmigan, Emperor Geese, Pacific Eiders, Harlequins, Widgeons, and Aleutian Teal to name a few.

Lodging and Travel

You will be staying at my clean and comfortable lodge and be well-fed by my wife whenever you aren’t afield. Bring your own camping gear and dehydrated meals for your time in the field (typically 2-4 days). You are welcome to mail gear to the Lodge in advance of your trip, and mail it back to yourself using USPS. ISO-Butane (Jet Boil), and a variety of stove fuels are available and provided. Meals and drinks are included while at the Lodge. (BYOB) Alcohol is available on Adak but is expensive.

The adak flight leaves from Anchorage at about 10:30am twice a week. My hunts are 7 days Saturday to Saturday, or Wednesday to Wednesday. You will be back in Anchorage about 1900 the following Saturday or Wednesday.

Caribou

The caribou hunts are DIY drop off hunts. You will be taken by boat and dropped off in a good spot of your choosing (map of possible landing sites at the Lodge) for usually 2-3 days. Once you have tagged out, contact me by in Reach or Satelite Phone and I’ll come get you. Once back at the Lodge you can do all your game processing, using our Vac Master Chamber Sealer, cleaning stations, and freezers. You are REQUIRED to harvest ALL edible game meat here in Alaska. This includes the quarters, blackstraps, tenderloins, rib meat, and neck meat.If you don’t wish to take your meat home we can donate it to needy local families.Once you finish caribou hunting there is sightseeing of the many interesting things on the island. We can go deep sea fishing, creek fishing, lake fishing, trail hiking, waterfall viewing, look at old abandoned Military buildings/sites, or grab the decoys and go get some sea ducks and puddle ducks.

You are allowed 2 bulls if you wish to purchase a second tag. That is no problem on my end, I will transport them all

"So where do I start?!?

When I left Texas to embark on this journey, I could have never imagined that this trip would become one of the best and most amazing trips to anywhere I’ve ever been!

Chris met us at the airport after a long journey of planes, shuttles and automobiles. Prior to arrival in Adak, Chris established a rapport with us which made it feel like greeting an old friend once we landed on Adak Island. I did not know what to expect and had NO idea what this would bring. Outside the awesome hunting, the landscape, the beauty, the unforgiving terrain, the beat you down weather, the sleeping outside, and a long list of other challenges all rolled up into words would be: unforgettable.

Starting with Chris: He is the real deal. His knowledge of hunting, where to go, and how to conquer such a vast amount of treacherous terrain, Makes him not only a true survivalist a superb human, an awesome captain and now a friend!

Now Barb: ALL I CAN SAY IS WOW. GOD puts some people on the planet to care for others with endless heart and this women is one of those people. Behind the tough, outdoorsy hunter and fisher women, she is one of the most caring people I now know. Besides making sure every meal is perfect and you are stuffed to the gills with awesome home cooked meals, she is patient, and very organized to make sure your experience is flawless.

The lodge: coming home to a warm bed, heated rooms with boot warmers and a food filled refrigerator when you arrive I can’t say enough.

This is a hands down 5 star, bucket list experience, with extreme hunting you will never forget, people you will want to spend more time with and memories that people can only dream of!!!" - Greg C

Rules & Guidelines

Tipping:

Please be Generous when considering tipping your Guides and Cook! 15-20% is the usual gratuity and is greatly appreciated. If there is a better Combo Fishing/Hunting Alaskan Adventure out there I have not heard of it!

General License Information

In Alaska, a license is required in order to participate in hunting/trapping/fishing, personal use fishing, commercial fishing, and sport fish or hunt guiding. Several different licenses are available for residents, non-residents, members of the military, residents who are disabled veterans, and resident seniors who are 60 years or older. Most licenses, as well as king salmon and Alaska duck stamps can be obtained online.

Travel Tips:

Alaskan Airlines has 2 weekly flights from Anchorage to Adak on Wednesday and Saturday. Get the Alaska Airlines cc and you can fly free your first trip out just on the miles they give you for signing up. You also get a 99$ companion ticket annually so you can split a ticket with a buddy you bring out and pay half price. It’s an expensive ticket ($1400ish) so getting their cc helps.

Please note, there is a 50% non refundable deposit included with your payment when booking.
