5-Day Muzzleloader Bull Elk Hunt | New Mexico
Las Vegas, NV
1-2 Guests
Description
5 Days
1x1 or 2x1 Guided
Our muzzleloader bull elk hunts take place in Unit 13 of West Central New Mexico, one of the largest units in the state. This unit is a primitive weapon only area which means that rifle hunting is not allowed during any of the seasons.
We have found that there is a better ratio of older age class bulls in this unit because of its primitive only regulations. These hunts may be obtained through the public draw process or through the purchase of “unit-wide” landowner permits.
There are three different general hunting season dates available for this hunt. The first two hunts in this unit occur in mid-October during the last half of the rut cycle. The third hunt falls in late November when the bulls are in bachelor groups. There is also a youth muzzleloader hunt offered in early October which has very limited tag numbers.
There are no restrictions on muzzleloaders on these hunts; in-line muzzleloaders, scopes, and sabots are legal. Our muzzleloader elk hunts all take place in high desert terrain at approximately 7500′ elevation with Pinion and Juniper vegetation. These hunts are not extremely physically demanding and are probably some of the easiest areas to hunt elk in the country.
Meals and Lodging included. Non-hunter guests are welcome for an additional fee.
Base price is for a 2x1 guided hunt.
For the 1x1 and other fees such as licenses/tags and additional days, see Additional Costs.
