On a typical inshore trip, we depart Wanchese Harbor and make our way down Roanoke Sound towards Oregon Inlet. You’ll get to see landmarks such as Bodie Island lighthouse, duck island club, commercial fish houses, and other secluded camps on sand islands. Usually, you’ll also get to see pods of dolphin. Depending on the weather, we’ll make our way out into the ocean or back out onto the sound and troll for bluefish and Spanish mackerel. We can also drift fish for croaker, flounder, trout, triggerfish, and more. This is a great family trip and perfect for groups of children.
