Description
ABOUT STONE SHEEP HUNTS
As with all our quota hunts we have limited amounts of clients that we can take sheep hunting each year.
Our team of sheep guides are excellent, some terrific Rams have been and will be taken.
We think that you’ll agree, our photos speak for themselves!
Those hunters primarily looking for a stone sheep will hunt in August when the weather is better and we have more daylight hours.
We do 10-day Backpack hunts only and typically have 2 seasoned guides with you to make it a success.
We generally are booked out a couple years, so please inquire early to secure a sheep hunt with us.
We have MANY sheep references from over the years, please don’t hesitate to do your homework and see why we lead the way on extreme mountain sheep hunt in the industry.
Hunters can choose to fly to Whitehorse, Yukon and drive to our camp near Boya lake provincial park BC or drive directly from the States.
Upon booking we can supply you with all the details you will need to get with these travel logistics. We put a great deal of time and thought in choosing the camp which you will hunt, depending on what you are hunting and the seasonal distribution of those animals.
We want ALL hunters to do well and have the hunt of a lifetime, so depending on the hunt you may stay in cabins or wall tents, or on some early hunts quality mountain tents may be used as well.
If you have a special need please advise us BEFORE the hunt is booked.
You may hunt directly from the camp you fly into or your guide might choose to “spike out” to another camp that he feels offers better potential for success. For those who finish hunting early we have great fishing and game bird hunting at many of our camps, this is included at no charge with all of hunts. Also each hunter can harvest one wolf at no charge, just ask us to pick up the appropriate licenses for you. For those unfamiliar with the British Columbia hunting system, there is no draw for licenses. All of our hunts come with guaranteed tags for all the animals you wish to hunt.
TAKE NOTE - We do NOT sell “Canned” hunts. These are real mountain hunts with wild animals in huge country.
Success of harvest is the goal, but not Guaranteed.
If you cannot be happy with good food, hardworking guides, solid equipment and some of the most breath-taking scenery there is then this hunt may not be for you. We love what we do and feel we provide some of the best hunts in the industry year after year. However, things happen in remote place. Weather can play a factor, horses have a mind of their own, boats break down occasionally and sometimes its just not meant to be. This is a hunt NOT a kill. This happens everywhere and anywhere. Come with a good attitude and I promise we will do what we can to make it great.

Rules & Guidelines
WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU
Ethics and Fair Chase Hunting is of the utmost importance. Illegal activities can jeopardize the future of our operation, the potential confiscation of a harvested animal and ultimately the future of hunting. Your guides are aware and have been informed of the wildlife regulations and are expected to obey the laws. Please do not ask them to knowingly take part in illegal or unethical activities. If an honest mistake is made, proper steps need to be taken to correct the situation however illegal activity will not be tolerated.
HUNT INFO TO HELP YOU PREPARE
Here is some information that will help prepare you for your upcoming trip.
Arrival and Departure will be from Whitehorse Yukon with daily flights from Vancouver, Calgary and Edmonton and Europe. Plan on landing in Whitehorse the day before you are expected in camp, this gives you extra time incase of lost luggage or delayed flights. You will need to book a rental car and drive south 5 1/2hrs to our main camp near Boya lake provincial park (more details provided).
Once you have booked your flights please forward a copy to us via email along with your hotel info if necessary.
Once you arrive at our main camp, Dean & Katie will get you setup and help prepare for your hunt, plan on chartering into your hunting camp the following day. Weather is also the main consideration when flying so please be aware of delays or backed up flying.
We try and use our time the best we can but please be patient with all the things we need to do on these change over days.
You will receive your hunting licenses and tags and some custom cape and horn tags- make sure you keep these with you at all times and don’t loose them. (Tags and License will need to be signed before valid. Don’t forget!)
If Harvest fees are required you will need to pay these BEFORE you go out to camp. NO PERSONAL CHECKS ARE ACCEPTED UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES (Certified Bank, or Cash only) In the past we have had issue with this and trusting some (what we thought) were solid guys. Sorry for the inconvenience. These fees will be kept in a safe place and returned at the completion of the hunt if that species is not taken.
License,Tags, WCF,Taxes, Gov Royalties, unscheduled flights , meat processing, expediting / shipping or taxidermy related costs are not included.
