We are one of "Colorado's Premier Guide and Outfitters" services. We are big game outfitters offering premier Colorado elk hunting during the archery season, muzzleloader season, and rifle season which are prime hunts. Our Colorado Elk rifle hunts are just spectacular. Our guides are experienced and knowledgeable on the elk migration, habitat, and location. The Colorado Elk Guided hunts are 1 guide for 2 hunters. Drop camps are available for the do-it-yourselfers. The hunts are for 7 days (1 day in, 5 days hunting, 1 day out.) We also offer guided horse pack trips into National Forest land.
The Hubbard Creek region of Western Colorado is renowned for its exceptional Colorado big game hunting opportunities. The region is game rich with elk, mule deer, and black bear. We offer specialized elk hunts tailored to the needs of the sportsman. Combination hunts are also available and include pack-in tent camps on National Forest lands with cabin accommodations.

We can provide transportation from Grand Junction or Montrose to your hunting camp and back after the hunt is over. After the thrill of the hunt is over--- we can help with game care of the meat, care for the trophy in the field, transportation to the processor of your game, and transportation of your trophy to a quality taxidermist.
The Hunt
Our access to both public and private property with great elk hunting opportunities is unsurpassed, and our unique setup allows us to hunt the famous Hubbard Creek areas in its entirety, including over 6,000 acres of private lands.
Unguided - We will pack you into our drop camps with all your gear and leave you to experience your hunt with us. All pack-in camps will have tent lodging, toilet facilities, and necessary supplies and equipment. We will provide a Garmin Inreach for you to use at each of the camps to communicate with us, we will also ride in and check on you periodically, while packing out game harvested by Clients.
Guided - Our guides are experienced and knowledgeable on the elk migration, habitat and location. The Colorado Elk Guided hunts are “1 on 2” for drop camps. The guided hunts are 7 days (1 day in, 5 days hunting, 1 day out.); drop camp hunts are from 5 to 9 days. We can customize hunts to your needs and requirements. We also offer guided horse pack trips into the Gunnison National Forest land.
We will transport any game meat to the locker plant and then from there it is your responsibility to pay for meat processing and shipping.
What we will provide for you at Drop Camp
2 16x20 tents waterproofed and tarps —Cot and foam pad for each hunter
Wood heating and cooking stove —Firestarter & lighter
3 burner propane stove with propane —Wood cut and stacked
Axe and shovel —Water - either natural or water cans
All necessary cooking and eating utensils —Small folding chairs or seats
Fire extinguisher and med kit —Propane lanterns with propane
Plus any other necessary camping equipment - A Garmin Inreach for Communication
Solar Portable charger ( for cell phone and Garmin charging)
We provide game packing for all drop camps.
If you are being packed into Drop Camp
It is easier to pack in gear if each hunter has the same or close to the size of duffle bag as the group.
Those hunting at the High Country horseback hunt will need to bring a warm sleeping bag/pillow and towels/washcloth.
IT CAN BE MUCH COOLER AND HARSHER WEATHER IN THE HIGH COUNTRY THAN LOWER ELEVATIONS! Please be prepared. Wool is warm even when wet! NO COTTON recommended!
Be prepared to head into camp between 9am & 11am the day before you hunt starts, the exact time will be determined by Dustin and/or guide 2 days prior to the hunt..
Base Price is per person for a 7-Day Unguided Drop Camp Hunt. Make it a Fully Guided Hunt for an additional fee per person.

Archery tags are available over the counter at any sporting goods store or Walmart
Be practiced on archery shots from many different shooting positions and angles from 20-60 yards fro the best chance at bagging your trophy. There will be targets in Camp for practice-bring arrows you are used to using we recommend FIXED BLADES!!
BE PREPARED: The better shape you are in the better your hunt will be. Practice, Practice, Practice your shots from different angles and positions!

We recommend that you apply for preference points every year in March for the species you may want to hunt in the future, the CPW could make it harder to get tags in the future!
For ALL of you hunting with us, we do recommend that you DRIVE OUT, shipping costs are extremely high and we have found that hunters find it easier and more economical to drive and take home their meat and heads on their own.
