Hi, I'm Tanner

I've been a member since

We strive to create a quality experience with each hunt. In the end, we are hunting and bonding with each person that accompanies us on the hunt with hopes of creating life long friendships along the way. We have access to a little over 100,000 acres currently in Texas with 20,000 acres in New Mexico. While we continue to build relationships with landowners and acquire more land to chase critters on, we only sign with land owners that have the same moral practices as we do. Just as we want great long-term relationships with the people we hunt with, we want the same relationship with landowners. We harvest the top tier of an age class in animals which means that some years we might not have as many animals to hunt on our ranches due to predators, drought, lack of feed, and overall mother nature. We are not trying to kill hundreds of animals a year. We want to keep the hunting pressure low and manage each herd to maximize herd health and health of the landscape they live on. Our hunts can range from 5-star lodging to canvas wall tent, we will fill the needs and wants of each group. Our goal is to check off each and every one of your needs and wants, we can’t always accomplish that but we will try and also communicate with you and your group if it is possible or not for us to do. Communication is key when we book a hunt. All of our hunts are generally 1x1 or 2x1 with the exception of turkey being semi-guided or 1x1. Our guides hunt year-round from West Texas aoudad to spring Turkey into summer exotics. Some have a love for waterfowl and spend the early part of fall in Canada chasing waterfowl with their own businesses. We look forward to seeing you in camp!

Welcome! I’m Tanner Crim, owner and operator of 4 Bar C Outdoors. Growing up in South Texas I learned to love and appreciate the outdoors and everthing it has to offer from life lessons to the peace and quiet. I started in the outdoor industry at 13 working and helping my late friend Tito Killian and his wife Debbie on their upland bird business. We raised a lot of quail and chukar while I learned a ton of life lessons over the 5 years I worked with them. As I grew older, I started to help with friends that had large ranches raising Whitetail deer. I spent just over a decade hunting, working, and raising whitetail deer both in breeder pens and native deer. In that same time frame I graduated high school, finished college at the great Tarleton State University, and began a career as a Mud Engineer in the Oil and Gas industry. Both the outdoors and work have allowed me to travel all over this great nation that we all get to call home. South Texas is where my family and I call home but West Texas in the high desert, mountains, plains, and canyons is where I love to be and roam. Big country with huge views has brought another appreciation to my mind in the amazement of what God was able to create in 7 days. I took some time away from working in the hunting industry to start a family and hunt for my self in various states across the west and into Alaska. In 2015 I married my best friend, Emily. A few years later we welcomed a daughter and then a son, who now love the outdoors as much as I do. After 6 years of not outfitting or guiding, I decided to start hunting as I missed the people that one gets to meet in hunting camp. This is when 4 Bar C Outdoors was formed, 2023. There is something special about a person that enjoys the outdoors. Even more so, a parent bringing a child, teenager, or young adult along for their first hunt or their 100th hunt. Sharing the passion of the animals and landscape that we get to enjoy is one of the greatest gifts in life. One of my favorite sayings or mottos is, “A child will never remember their best day of watching television.” I strive to make great memories with each guest. If we harvest an animal, that is the icing on the cake!
