My name is Nathan and I am an expert fly fishing guide based in Mammoth Lakes, California. I am licensed, boarded and insured guide who has been fly fishing the Sierras for the last twenty years and guiding for the last fifteen. I am also a certified guide on The Tenkara USA Guide Staff I specialize in guiding all aspects of catch and release fly fishing from children, couples, and families to beginners, experts and large groups. I am also one of the only guides in the Mammoth Lakes area that offers guided backcountry and overnight fly fishing trips.

I started fly fishing about the age of 18, and like most fly anglers I soon realized that I wished I had started when I was four. Somewhere along my growth in the sport I realized that I had a great eye for understanding the fly cast, and the ability to teach anyone how to do it. This teaching ability, along with my passion for working stream-side has allowed me to succeed as a guide in the Eastern Sierras. My obsession for our trout and other species of fish keeps me fishing and guiding year round. The reciprocity aspect of guiding is what drives me everyday on the river. I get so much satisfaction from my clients not only catching (and releasing) fish, but also teaching the client how to make a drift or cast they didn’t think was possible. I look forward to sharing my knowledge and love for the Easter Sierras and for the sport of fly fishing with you. You can never stop learning.
