My first hunting experience was with my dad at the age of 5 in a goose pit in Sumner, MO and I have been hooked ever since. I started my passion for waterfowl in eastern KS, where I hunted big reservoirs for mallards and hunted Geese in southern IL with my grandfather, father and brother. When I was 12, my family moved to Colorado and the Front Range became my classroom in how to hunt honkers. From lessors to Giants, to golf courses to cornfields, I have been a part of thousands of geese being harvested in Northern Colorado. I graduated from Colorado State University with a degree in Wildlife Biology in 2003. My first desire was to pursue my passion for Land Management and so I started freelancing as a wildlife biologist. When that wasn’t paying the bills, I became a professional guide. Then I moved on to working for Natural Resources Conservation Services. I designed irrigation systems, wetland habitat, wildlife habitat and implemented the Farm Bill programs for private landowners. Currently, I am a Crop Consultant in Northeastern Colorado, working with many different farmers allowing me to spend 100% of my time in the field.
