I've been a member since February 2020

I'm a fishing guide/charter captain who fishes Lake Erie, Lake Ontario and the Niagara River for Smallmouth Bass, Walleye, Steelhead, Salmon, Lake Trout, Brown Trout and Yellow Perch.

I've lived in Western NY my whole life! I started fishing here with my Grandfather and Dad when I was Kid going every chance I could! Then I bought my first boat in 1986 and it escalated from there as I started fishing 60-80 days a year! I started first mating on a charter boat for extra cash and for the love of fishing, after 4 years of doing that with having a lot recommendations from clients that I should become a captain. In 2000, I finally took a captains course, got my license and started Schultz Sportfishing! I did a lot of tournament fishing before becoming too busy with trips taking people out on charters that I couldn't dedicate the time to continue fishing tournaments and began to focus on giving clients the best trips I can! Although in 2005, I finished 2nd in the US Anglers Choice Series Championship with my partner Joe Fonzi and we won a 20' Basscat Pantera with a 200 Mercury on it. We should have won it as we lost out by .02 of a pound and I personally lost 2 giants at the boat that would have put us in the lead by at least 2-3#'s! I'm fortunate to live near the Best Year Round Multispecies Fisheries in the World! You can catch just about everything that swims in freshwater here! Lake Erie has some of the Biggest Smallmouth Bass in the World! I had a client catch a 7# 13 oz monster in 2007 and catching 5#+ Slobs is a daily occurrence with 6#+ Monsters caught weekly! They also call Lake Erie the Walleye Capitol of the World for good reason as there is an estimated Walleye population of 45 million fish! Let's not forget the great Yellow Perch fishing as well as the Steelhead and Lake Trout! Then comes the Mighty Niagara River where you never know what you will catch on the next drift! It could be a Steelhead, Walleye, Brown Trout, Lake Trout, Smallmouth Bass, Yellow Perch, Silver Bass, Catfish and maybe a Musky or Sturgeon! Last but certainly not least is Lake Ontario where it has some of the best Salmon, Steelhead, Lake Trout, Brown Trout, Walleye and Smallmouth Bass fishing in the country!
